Well...it's Tuesday. The movers arrived promptly at 9:38. The cooks at the hotel failed to show up on time to make their breakfast so there was a bit of a chain reaction. Anyway, they made it which is the good news. Bad news...the plane that was supposed to be here this afternoon to pick up our stuff had mechanical problems. Go figure. Good ol' Buffalo.
Yesterday we were up at the crack of dawn and finally went to bed at 11:30. Whoever thinks there isn't anything to do when movers come and pack you is sadly mistaken. Or perhaps it's because we take on to much ourselves. The owner's of the moving company in Kelowna where our stuff is stored sent us an email yesterday saying that we were the best RCMP customers that they have moved in 22 years! I think we really needed to hear that and it inspired us to maintain the momentum with this present move.
Now comes the boring part. Sitting around waiting for them to pack everything and hope they don't pack stuff we asked them to leave behind. It seems you occassionally end up with possessions that belong to quarters, like phones and oddball light fixtures. What would be worse is if they packed our suitcases...or the dog's food? I guess this is as good a time is any to work on Ev's sweater. I should have it done by the time we get to PEI!
