Distance Travelled: 752 km.
A pretty long day but a beautiful drive. I don't know who decided driving through the prairies was boring. I loved driving through Saskatchewan. The marshlands on the sides of the highway were amazing. We saw thousands of birds and some appeared to be on their way South.
Poor Ev. When we stopped at the border between SK and MB we decided to take a couple of pictures.
Well...see Ernie here! If you can see Ev standing in the background, he's on tippy toes and he was going to place Ernie on top of this sign so he it was just him in the shot. Well just as he was about to let go, he put his fingertips over the edge of the top and discovered it was hollow and that Ernie would have fallen 7 or 8 feet to the concrete. It took Ev an hour to calm himself.
Did I tell ya how much Ernie hates hotels? Not! The story Princess & the Pea comes to mind.
Not much more to say as we are heading out the door. I'll post a picture of Rookie later. Don' worry we haven't forgotten him.
