Finally we saw some wildlife. We were wondering where all of the animals were hiding out. We have driven past countless signs warning of moose and deer from Manitoba on and yet we haven't seen anything...unless you count the dozens of road pizza raccoons and 2 deceased deer on the roadside.When we pulled into North Bay, ON, there were two fawns, bigger but still spotted, feeding on the side of the road, right in town.
The other thing we have noticed in our travels...where are all of the rest stops? In BC we have what seem like hundreds of rest stops. There were virtually none driving from Alberta to Sault Ste. Marie. We are starting to see more of them now. I guess it's because BC is such a tourist spot?
